I grew up in a climate where the sight of snow capping the distant mountains was rare. Even rarer was actually seeing snow at close quarters. Before moving to the USA I had never actually seen snow falling. When a heavy storm covered our city in a 12" layer of snow, I was in heaven. I spent two days trekking around the neighborhood and beyond with my camera and a backpack. I found this scene about 200 yards from home, just as the sunrise broke, casting a pink glow over the fresh snow. Go to the gallery to see more landscapes
